Ian McClure

IT Director, Cigna UK HealthCare Benefits.

Ian McClure is IT Director at Cigna UK HealthCare Benefits. Ian has responsibility for developing the IT strategy and delivering IT services, support and applications that enable the business to sell and service domestic healthcare policies.

With almost 25 years' experience in the health benefits market, 18 of which were within IT, Ian leads a multi-disciplined IT team to develop and manage back-office supporting platforms and a range of self-service digital applications. These technologies enable the business to provide leading edge medical, dental and health and well-being solutions that meet and exceed the needs of UK employers and their employees.

Ian joined Cigna in 1991 and has held roles in Finance and Operations before specialising in IT. Since his move to IT, Ian has held a number of technical, management and leadership roles within the function, before taking overall accountability for the UK based IT function.

Ian is located in Cigna's Glasgow office and is happiest spending time with his two daughters, enjoying their favourite pursuits of sailing in the summer and skiing in the winter.
