Occupational Health Case Manager

Purpose of th e job/Key Objective:
The absence OH Case Manager will provide information and recommendations to our
client’s line managers and HR staff, supporting them in managing employees who are
absent. The aim of absence management is to ensure the right expert resources are
applied at the right time – the ultimate goal being to support the employee in remaining
at work or if absent in returning to work by supporting them through this process
and advising them as appropriate.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Fulfill a lead nurse role – to have in depth knowledge of case
management and occupational health and be personally responsible in ensuring relevant
process are effective for any assigned clients
- For assigned client be involved in the implementation and set up
this extends to conference calls, attending meetings on and off site and working
closely with other areas of the business e.g. admin/sales to ensure implementation
is concluded
- Personally compile and implement all processes to support service
delivery for clients.
- If appropriate to be responsible for organizing the Health Surveillance
program, review results, arrange appropriate onward referral and reporting.
- Be available for on site Health Fair Days if needed – ensuring
self maintenance of knowledge to support hands on discussion in relation to various
topics.
- Be responsible for updating the nursing team in relation to assigned
client information
- Be personally responsible for accuracy and analysis of client specific
reports.
- Attendance at client visits as contracted on and off site, these
visits constitute part of the normal working week.
- Be personally accountable for management of own work load.
- Support account management team to ensure service delivery is within SLA
- Maintain PREPP
Skills/experience required:
- Post graduate in nursing with a broad range of post qualification
experience
- Qualification in OH and experience in this field.
- Ability to prioritise and manage own workload
- Proven interest in continuing professional development
- Decision making and analytical thinking
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Effective communicator (oral and written)
- Excellent time management
- Self motivated with a proactive approach
- Ability to make sound clinical decisions about patient care
