New Business Sales Consultant – UK Healthcare

Purpose of the job/Key Objective:

To develop new business sales for CIGNA UK Healthcare’s key product lines through developing relationships with key national and regional intermediaries. There will also be a requirement to manage a small portfolio of accounts.

Requirements of the role:

1. New Business Development (70%)

  • To develop new business relationships with a panel of national and regional healthcare intermediaries.
  • Target intermediaries to write corporate healthcare business with CIGNA Healthcare
  • Develop a partnership approach with intermediaries so that CIGNA can develop true business relationships and take advantage of all opportunities
  • Deliver a PMI and dental target

2. Account Management – Own Portfolio (30%)

  • Manage a small portfolio of mid market clients so that the sales consultant learns and develops a mix of skills as well as understanding CIGNA customer service and managed care processes.

3. Administration, New Business Development and Project Work

  • Gather and analyse relevant data for tenders and new business opportunities
  • Organise the creation and production of all necessary reports and documentation relating to accounts in portfolio
  • Prepare and produce high quality proposals and presentations
  • Work with the sales team on projects as and when required

Experience required:

  • Understands the healthcare market and in particular the dynamics of the UK intermediary market
  • A good understanding of sales and account management is key in this role
  • The ability to deliver against key account plans and identify cross sales opportunities
  • A good understanding of developing commercial tenders and new business presentations are critical in this role

Education/professional qualifications required:

  •  Good Level of Education / Previous healthcare and broker experience
  • Sales / Business Development

Location

  • In or around the M25 corridor with easy access to the City of London and must be flexible to travel.
