Acceptance Testing Specialist
The Position:
To prepare and conduct Quality Assurance (QA) testing of new or
modified applications/systems across multiple computing environments,
participate in the analysis and development of new or revised QA procedures
and processes and prepare and conduct QA reviews and development of test plans
and test scripts.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assists in the preparation and conduct of testing of new or modified applications/systems across multiple computing environments.
- Participates in the analysis and development of new or revised procedures and processes.
- Assists in the preparation and conduct of reviews and the development of test plans and test scripts.
- Provides help desk support to business users in resolving process or procedure questions
- Assists in the design and implementation of software and systems and the development of effective testing plans through consultation with clients and IT technical staff.
- Participates in the development of special testing requirements and procedures and in the review of new or modified software.
- Provide training to staff on any change, new product and new processes or process improvement.
- Set up System Keywords/control files and liaise with Legal Services to ensure access to new/changed functions for relevant users.
- Train staff on the use of automated system testing software e.g. Mercury Quality Centre and TestBench AS400.
- Develop Crystal Reports as required by the business.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 5 years in a system testing quality environment
- Broad knowledge/experience with automated testing and modelling tools and change management and test case generation techniques
- Expert working knowledge of Mercury Quality Centre and Testbench automated testing solutions or similar
- Computer degree or equivalent work experience

- Ability to work unsupervised in a team
- Frequently uses a high degree of initiative
